UnityOne 2010 ~ Thank You

John 17: A Reality at Unity One 2010

Thank you to all who came out to worship with us at the first Unity One: a multicultural, multilingual worship concert experience, Saturday, November 13th, in Lehigh Valley, PA., USA.

Unity One 2010 was an awesome time of worship, designed to be a fulfillment of the prayer that Jesus prayed to His father in John 17:21, that we would be one.  Worshipers came from all over the Tri-State area.  The hands of people were extended in worship as soon as the music started.  Worship in many languages was lifted up on one accord as the sound of praise filled the air and reached the heart of God … and what a sweet sound it was.

Giving as Worship

There was truly an atmosphere of participatory worship happening that evening, even in our giving.  Inspiration Cafe, a ministry to the homless in Chicago, IL., was our charity of choice and Unity One is able to support them through your generous giving in worship.

During the Unity One worship concert experience, He Who Has An Ear Sign Language Ministry will be interpreting the songs being sung into ESL.

Why is this important? Making a conscious effort to include worshipers is, essentially, a part of the experience of joining together to welcome God into the atmosphere created. If we have the opportunity to do that, we will use that opportunity.

Unity One thanks He Who Has An Ear Sign Language Ministry for allowing us to be an integral part of unifying the body of Christ and also for offering their talents to the Unity One worship concert experience.

Unity One understands that part of worship is service. As a part of the giving back aspect, Unity One wanted to inform participants where some of their donations will be going. For this year, we have decided to donate to the Inspiration Organization.

The Inspiration Organization’s goal is to help in the fight against homelessness. They provide support services, employment services, and housing services to the homeless. One thing Unity One applauds the Inspiration Organization for is their restaurant programs called Inspiration Cafe and The Living Room Cafe provide meals and supportive services in a therapeutic environment.

According to the Inspiration Organization’s website:

“Inspiration Cafe, located in Uptown, and The Living Room Cafe in Woodlawn, serve meals in a restaurant-style setting and provide supportive services in a therapeutic community designed to help individuals on their journey toward self-sufficiency.”

On November 13th, as a part of the worship experience, please come prepared to give to the Inspiration Organization’s Inspiration Cafe and The Living Room Cafe.
